Raising money for Jacob Ortiz in car accident
2/24/20 Tuesday morning my nephew Jacob was involved in a horrible car accident heading back to college at A&M. He was driving around a car that had obviously had road rage and sped around to cut Jacob off and then slammed on his breaks, going 80mph, which led Jacob to slam on his breaks to try and avoid this car. Doing so, it caused him to crash off the road, flipped his truck 5-6 times, and he blacked out for quite some time. The driver who did this did not stop and there is an investigation going on to find this person who left the scene of the horrible accident he/she caused.
Jacob got stuck inside his truck for 45 minutes and woke up to EMS and firefighters pulling off his door and getting him to the nearest hospital in Bryan. Jacob is so lucky to be alive, but he broke his back in two places and underwent hand surgery to save as much of his little finger as possible. He has to withdraw this current semester at A&M to focus on his recovery, but we are hopeful he will have a full healthy recovery. Jacob is back home in Leander now and we are raising money to help him with the medical and doctor bills that will pile up and since he has to withdraw from school this semester and come home to recover and can’t work for a while.
Please help Jacob in any way you can, even if it is prayers for a good recovery and to stay in good spirits. He is such a strong, kind person and we are thankful he made it out alive. Thank you for your prayers and donations.
