Ilamparthi is a 5th grader and from the tender age of 4, he has been playing chess and has participated in many states, national and international tournaments - often ranking within the top three. For Ilamparthi, chess is his passion, he spends more than 4 hours daily for practicing and is dedicating his holidays to the game to build his technique and strategy.

Ilamparthi has the potential to become one of the greats in the chess world. In order to achieve such an ambition, he should participate in a minimum of ten international tournaments per year and official National tournaments costing nearly $15000 per year. From a middle-class income, this cost is very difficult to manage and hence Illamparthi's father and my friend Mr.Ravikumar V are in search of sponsors and supporters who would be willing to join Ilamparthi on his journey in becoming Grandmaster.
Your sponsorship will help Ilamparthi sharpen his chess acumen, understanding, skill, strategy and most importantly provide him with the much-needed experience and exposure that it requires for him to advance. I have known Mr.Ravikumar (F/O Ilamparthi) since my first job at Chennai from early 2000. All of your contributions are going directly to Illamparthi's tournament expenses. I want to help my friend's son achieve his dream so I started this campaign and will take the responsibility of withdrawing your contributions and transferring to Mr.Ravikumar (F/O Ilamparthi) on a periodic basis.
