Fundraiser for Howie Goldfarb

Donation protected
On behalf of my friend Howie Goldfarb and his family, we are seeking and asking for as much help as possible. On December 12th, Howie went to the emergency room after visiting urgent care and being sent home to take Tylenol for a fever that had lasted weeks. His blood work was terrible and they admitted him and soon diagnosed him with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and then transported him to the Cancer Center at University of Vermont Medical Center.

Howie is currently fighting for his life as he begins an an intensive course of chemotherapy. As we settle into the initial shock that this news has brought, we are trying to figure out everything we can do for him, his wife, and their three young children. We are still waiting on more test results, but we know that he will need to spend at least five weeks in the hospital for treatment and who knows what else to overcome this battle and that this will be a long, hard road for the next several months and possibly years. Visitors are allowed during Howie’s treatments, but because he is on a high-risk floor, only people 18 years and older are admitted; this means Howie will separated from his children during this time.

Unfortunately, Howie will be completely out of work with no income for an indefinite amount of time. He works in the hospitality industry at Sugarbush Ski Resort. His wife, Isadora, will have to take the entire burden of caring for Lili 11, Sebastian 9, and Iris, 6. Howie’s father and two sisters live several hours away and are currently trying to make plans to visit.

We are working to pool all of our resources from family, friends, co-workers, and Theta Delta Chi (ΘΔΧ) fraternity brothers to support him and his family through this battle. No one should have to lose their home because they are sick. Every little bit helps, even if it's just a share and all donations will go towards Howie’s treatments, bills, and related expenses. We appreciate all the support and love so much.

Please keep him and his entire family in your prayers.
