Fundraiser for Hanz’s Recovery

As many of you know, Hanz has been building a basketball community / family, dating back to his first league at St Martha’s Church back in 1996 and growing an empire known as Superstar Basketball since 2006. He’s also been involved in the fitness industry, hosting multiple fitness conventions and most recently was involved and won 2 muscle contests.

For over 15 years, Hanz has been a caring friend, a supportive teammate, and a commissioner to many. But if you know Hanz, he’d describe each person in his life, as family.

Hanz is currently on life support fighting for his life from a stroke he had back on October 11th. His blood pressure was extremely high which caused the brain bleed to occur so he went through an emergency craniectomy to release the excessive blood from his brain. He also developed pneumonia so he was also placed on a ventilator. He’s been in an induced coma ever since.

During this tumultuous time, Hanz’s family has stayed by his side, in constant support of his recovery, and having to make difficult decisions about his care.

Despite wanting their focus to solely stay on his care, Hanz’s bills and expenses continue to grow.

And so, it’s time for his “other family” to step up, and take it from here. If you’re able to donate anything, please do so. If you can’t donate, then please spread the word.
