Hi, my name is Hank and I'm a non binary person, born and raised in Glasgow. I've been out as gender non-conforming for several years now, and over the course of that time have come to understand what a painful role dysphoria plays in my daily life and experience of my own body. After years of wanting it, I've decided to finally take the step of pursuing gender-affirming surgery. It is an immensely scary and vulnerable thing to make this public, but after seeing so many people accept the help of their communities, I am inspired to do the same. I am asking my community, and whoever is able to, to share and donate to help me achieve this dream.

I've found a clinic out of the country where I will be able to get this surgery at a more affordable rate. The money I hope to raise with this fundraiser will go to cover the cost of the surgery itself, my travel to and from the clinic, and a brief period of recovery while I am physically unable to work. I am a self employed artist, and have been saving everything I can to go toward this-- but to achieve it will take the support of my community.

I am so grateful to everyone who has supported me on this journey so far, and who is able to contribute to this fundraiser. As scary as it is to post this publicly, it is such an exciting step for me and I am moved to share it with you all.
