Hamzah Alsaudi, a San Francisco State political science major and member of the SF State Wrestling team,

disappeared Thursday, January 19th, 2023, during a "polar plunge" at Esplanade Beach in Pacifica, California, while swimming with a few of his wrestling teammates.

Hamzah wrestled one season for Cerritos College. Placed second in California Community College State at 197.

Also attended Santa Monica College, which doesn't have a wrestling program. Hamzah was a four-year letter winner in high school.

Prepped at Palisades Charter HS. He was a three-time California state qualifier. Placed fifth at the state championships at 195 pounds as a senior.

First Team All-Soutern Section. Also won the USS Midway Tournament and West Coast Classic championships. Went 28-5 his senior year after a 43-5 season his junior year,

where he also qualified for the state championships. Junior Nationals All-American in Greco-Roman at 86kg.

A top-12 finish in U23 nationals in freestyle at 97kg. Wrestled club for Westside Mat Monsters.
