As Emma Keenan and I enter our last week before the marathon, we felt it was important to support cancer research, but more specifically to support a community that has given us so much. 

The field hockey community has been a part of our lives for a really long time. We may be a bit biased, but it's truly a special community. Through hours of practices, tournament weekends, and maybe a few bumps and bruises - it's a community that has gifted us with so many memories and more importantly, life long friendships. Gretta Ehret, is a former captain and All-Ivy recipient during her career at UPenn. Now, she's bringing the game, AND her badass strength to the community. Currently, Gretta is the Head Coach at Merion Mercy Academy, leading her team to win a District Championship this fall. 

Gretta was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer this past summer and has begun her fight to beat this horrible disease. There has been an outpouring of support for her cause - meeting the FULL fundraising goal for her medical care. https://www.gofundme.com/f/friends-of-gretta-ehret 

We want to take this a step further and help make each day just a little bit easier. As Gretta continues her treatments, we would like to fundraise to provide a weekly meal service to keep her STRONG! By meeting the above goal, we will be able to provide 8 weeks of a meal service for Gretta.
