Fundraiser for George Karaiskos' funeral

Dear friends, family and colleagues,  

I am writing to let you know about the loss of my father, George Karaiskos, who passed several weeks ago and whose body was cruelly abandoned, his belongings taken from his home and his family left unnotified by his caretaker.  

We are absolutely devastated by my father George's passing and the circumstances surrounding the discovery. It is a most difficult and emotional situation, moreover, I'm struggling to find the funds to cover the cost of the service and to properly lay my father to rest. 

George was a good, solid, loving person who is preceded in death by his parents Marianthe and Emanuel, his wife Cindy, his daughter Pam and his brother Stanley. He leaves behind a daughter (me) his sister Andrea, his sister Niki, and his brothers Alex and Peter, plus numerous nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly.  He will be missed by many. 

Below is a breakdown of all the costs involved in a funeral service for my father.  

Mortuary - $8,000 including body preparation, casket, transportation fees from the morgue and to the cemetery, death cert. Etc.  

Cemetery - $6,000 - $8,000 including plot (the price point will depend on the handling of the plot and I can update the GoFundMe as appropriate), burial costs, vault, and all taxes and fees.  

We will need to pay all funeral costs by approximately Thursday, September 30th, and so, l have started a fundraiser to collect donations for George's funeral.  

My father will be laid to rest with my beautiful sister, who was his most beloved pride and joy.  

I will update the GoFundMe with funeral service information, for anyone that would like to attend, as soon as I have it.
