Honoring The Life and Legacy of Galey Sue Decker -
On September 8, 2025, our beloved Galey Sue Decker passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Galey was the loving and devoted mother of Stephanie and Stacey, and a proud grandmother to Daisy and Elle. Her life was filled with faith, resilience, and unwavering love for her family and friends with whom she welcomed into her home.
On July 9th, Galey suffered a fall that resulted in a broken hip. During her hospital stay, doctors delivered the heartbreaking news that she was battling stage 4 metastatic pancreatic cancer, which had already spread to her liver and stomach. Despite this devastating prognosis, Galey bravely faced a complicated and painful hip surgery and worked tirelessly through rigorous physical therapy until her body could no longer continue.
Through it all, Galey was never alone. Her two daughters, two granddaughters, son-in-law and a close circle of loving friends rallied around her. Her every moment was filled with prayer, love, and gratitude for the time they spent together. Galey was a lifelong, devout Christian whose faith guided her every step. It is a profound honor to lay her to rest at St. David's Episcopal Church, where she found spiritual connection as we would watch the livestream services while she was hospitalized. She also loved to attend services by Pastor Chuck Blair at New Church Live in Bryn Athyn, Pa.
Galey lived with and cared for her daughter Stephanie, making their bond especially close. She had an extremely generous and kind spirit. Her laughter was wonderful and so heartfelt. We all will remember the joy and love that she brought to us.
Galey loved us all extravagantly and abundantly.
This GoFundMe has been created for Galey's family to help cover the costs of her medical expenses and assist the family with the costs of her memorial in this difficult time.
Thank you for helping us honor Galey’s legacy of love, faith, elegance and strength.
