Fundraiser for Gabrielle's Senior Thesis Film

As I come to the end of my matriculation through Spelman College, I am developing my senior thesis film, ‘Bug Hill.’ The documentary revolves around my family and the acres of hard-earned and hard-worked land that have been in their possession for generations, as they forge a path to preservation. I am currently in the production stages and as such, I am beginning to fundraise for this short film. The goal of this film is to explore the history of the land and consider how the lives of the early inhabitants affect the farm and its descendants today. I hope that this story, while deeply personal to me, will also serve as a visual archive that sheds a light on the legacies of black southern workers.
