Fundraiser for first photo book.
Donation protected
Dear Team, Friends, Whānau, and Dance Community,
Over the past year, I have been working on a photo book titled "All Stars Stand Close in Summer Air." The book documents my return to Aotearoa New Zealand after five years. The process of making the book was dear to me as it explores reconnection with my whānau, old stomping grounds, and the wider net of connections surrounding memory and placehood. A team effort of a few people includes my dear friend Frances Libeau who contributed poetry throughout the book, Tomasz Laczny for image sequencing and Tina de Souter for book design and hand-stitched binding.
I am fundraising to cover the production costs for 80 limited edition books that will be just smaller than A4. The funds will cover delicate hand binding by Tina de Souter in Belgium, design costs, and printing. The paper used will be sourced from Fedrigoni, a sustainable and reputable paper mill based in Italy.
Any small donation towards this project is welcome and appreciated. To show my gratitude, I will extend a gift to those who donate over certain amounts:
from €10 - have your name in the thank you section of the book launch.
from €20 - Postcard of an image from the book (edition of 100) with a little note from me ^_^
