Fundraiser for Ella Ring and the Ring Family
NOTE: This GoFundMe has been set up on behalf of the Ring Family (Tania and Bud, Darren and Jessica) by family friend Beverly Fairclough. Funds are being raised to help cover expenses much needed for Tania and Darren's fifteen-year-old daughter Ella, who was a passenger in a car involved in a terrible accident Friday, August 6 near Peterborough, Ontario. Ella was airlifted to Toronto Sick Kids with life threatening injuries. The beneficiary is the Ring Family c/o Tania Ring’s partner, Bud Ivey.
On Friday, August 6 2021, Ella was in a terrible multi-vehicle accident and was airlifted to Toronto's Sick Kids Hospital. She arrived with severe trauma and multiple injuries that left her in critical condition. After the extensive treatment provided by the miracle workers at Sick Kids, Ella is now in stable condition, but faces many weeks, if not months, in hospital, followed by a long road of recovery. Ella suffered several fractures to her back, neck, ribs, and pelvis, as well as a collapsed lung and numerous lacerations to her face and arms.
Many of you may know Ella from St. Mary's High School where she will be entering grade 11. Ella is an amazing young lady who is very kind and caring and who wears her emotions on her sleeve. She's is an amazing sister to her 3 siblings and they are missing her greatly.
Many of you have reached out to Tania, Bud, Darren and Jessica asking how you can help, and they have asked me to create this page. They would greatly appreciate your assistance in helping them out with upcoming expenses and costs to ensure they can stay by Ella at all times, and provide her with the care she needs.
The extent of Ella’s injuries are unknown, as it is still early days, and she is still undergoing many tests and procedures. It has become clear, though, that her road to recovery will be a long one requiring medical procedures, physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and counselling. Tania and Darren, as well as the rest of the family, will need to go back and forth to the hospital, and will require financial support for her care, as well as for gas, food, hotels, and lost wages.
As the Ring Family waits for more answers and test results, please consider contributing anything you can so that they have one less thing to worry about and can focus 100 percent on Ella in her time of need.
