Fundraiser for Dustin Packwood

Dustin Packwood is an amazing person. He goes above and beyond for his family and friends and is incredibly hard working.

On Sept 5, Dustin was found unconscious in his home and rushed to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. It was determined that Dustin was born with an incredibly rare brain arteriovenous malformation (AVM). This is a tangle of blood vessels that connects arteries and veins in the brain. There is usually no signs or symptoms until the AVM ruptures - and this is what happened.

As a result of the AVM, Dustin suffered a stroke, blood clot in his brain and several other complications. Currently, he is still in the Nero unit ICU at Mercy Hospital. Due to these complications, Dustin is doing okay, but still being monitored closely. Even with the best possible doctors and hospital staff, Dustin has a tough road ahead.

There are cognitive issues still occurring, but Dustin is very determined and his hospital team has been amazing so far. We are taking it day by day, and have every hope that he will make a full recovery. However, in the meantime, Dustin is still in the ICU and unable to work.

The prayers and positive thoughts have been amazingly helpful - and we ask that you continue to bestow them on Dustin. At this time, we are also launching this GoFundMe account for Dustin to help cover the monthly payment for his truck and assist with medical expenses.
