DeNaya Jewel Marie King, a 14 year old Dixon resident has been a very active child in sports for the city of Dixon and Dixon schools.
She has played soccer,volleyball and basketball.Most recently, she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer, which started in her left knee.
She is already in the beginning stages of her very aggressive treatment plan,which began this past saturday with chemo.
Although the outlook is positive, she and her family will require not only emotional support,but financial support as well.
Her familys financial battle has already begun and will continue with medications,trips back and forth from overnight hospital stays in San Fransisco
As her friends and family, we all appreciate any help, donations and prayers that our community can offer.
Our community is powerful!!!! Lets continue to come together and to remain positive for DeNaya!
