Fundraiser For my friend, Dave Anderson

Hello...my name is Terry Robinson and I would like to ask for help for my dear friend, Dave Anderson, he needs a hand-up!

 

I went to San Clemente High School, Class of 67 with Dave! Many of you may know him from High School. Also...no matter his handicaps and daily pain he put together and manages a wonderful historic Facebook page about our Beach Cities and the surrounding communities to keep our past and people alive. A real gift that he researches tirelessly for all of us.

 

Dave is a 72-year-old disabled single father. He has had five surgeries on his lower back, on both shoulders, both elbows, and both wrists, shattered both of his heels (at the same time), and had a three-level fusion on his neck leaving him classified as 95% disabled. He lives his life in constant pain from head to toe (literally). The only relief he gets is when his doctor administers steroid shots in various parts of his body.

 

He raised his son alone without child support or any other help. He gladly accepted the responsibility and never asked for help. His son is now his caretaker, taking him to doctor appointments, running errands, (ie pharmacy, groceries, and such), cooking, cleaning house, all the things required for daily living, all this making it nearly impossible for him to find a job. By a streak of luck, his son recently got hired delivering for UPS that required the use of Dave's personal vehicle and was doing well with the job.. The future looked bright until one day while making a delivery, his car was stolen. After a few days, the police recovered the car but unfortunately, the car had been stolen by a fentanyl junkie who had stripped the car and sold the parts for drugs. The car was stripped and damaged beyond repair.

 

Dave's car was dependable but they only had minimal insurance due to the age of the vehicle so they have no way to replace it, leaving his son with no way to work, causing him to lose his job. Making him unable to get groceries, pick up my meds, etc., and no way for Dave to make his doctor appointments which at this point he can't live without. Now he finds himself in need of the kind of help he has never wanted to ask for! Dave and his son are in a dire situation and need help raising the money to replace the car. We all will be very grateful for any help you can give... If money is tight for you too, we completely understand... If you could pass this request along it be a big help...
