On Saturday, September 4th, Letty Ocañas' son, Daniel Ocañas was involved in a major car accident, by a miracle he survived but sustained life-threatening injuries. As many of you know Letty has worked for the College of Engineering and Computer Science at UTRGV for over 28 years. She has provided support to many students, faculty, and staff throughout the years. Letty is home caring for Danny and is in dire need of our support as they are facing growing medical bills, rehabilitation, and physical therapy because he does not have medical insurance. We all know Danny to be a strong-willed, good-hearted, and positive soul. Daniel has a bright future, he’s an amazing young man!
