Fundraiser for Cody Love

My name is William Love and I am the father of Cody Love . In march of 2019 Cody was diagnosed with kidney failure mainly as the result of 28 years of Diabetes and other complications . He has endured two and a half years of Dialysis as well as dealing with his Diabetes . He was accepted into the transplant program after months of testing to prove he was a good candidate . He will be going for the kidney and pancreas transplant in Edmonton at the U of A . This option will not only free him of his diabetes , but also his new kidney will have better chance of survival without diabetes complicating things .
As you know he has a long road ahead of him , the surgery is lengthy and he will have to spend approximately 3 months in Edmonton with 3 weeks of that in the hospital . When the call comes he will be whisked to Edmonton by air ambulance with me following close behind by car . Thanks to the Kinsmen Tele Miracle Foundation a lot of the expenses will be covered but there will be other expenses not covered for other family members to be with him during his surgery and recovery period.
Most of you know Cody as a 31 year old, hard working member of Local 119 Heat and Frost Insulators . He really misses his work and the many friendships he formed there as a 10 year journeyman insulator. Cody is just itching to get back to work when he can so he can continue his career . We don't have a time line for his transplant as it can come tomorrow or next year so this fundraiser is to ensure that everything is in place for him.
I realize that due to the unfortunate timing of covid-19 that many of you are yourselves struggling to make ends meet, but any help you can provide would mean the world to us and to Cody. We certainly appreciate the support many of you have given but more help is needed.
