Fundraiser for Christine's Medical Bills
Donation protected
Hello everyone. As many of you know, our dear friend Christine was diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer in July of last year. It was a true miracle that they found the cancer as early as they did. They were able to operate and follow-up with four rounds of five-hour chemo treatments.
Chris has had clear cancer scans since then. However, over the last month, she (and loved ones) noticed that she was having difficulty remembering things here and there. Two weeks ago, she came to work and realized that she was having difficulty speaking. Her mom was concerned and told Chris she should call her doctor. What transpired the next few days was a whirlwind of tests and emotions. Christine’s lung cancer spread to her brain. In another miraculous development, they were able to operate on the larger tumor. Her doctors will need to do targeted radiation on some additional spots along with other treatments, mostly likely chemo.
Her doctors have hope that she will be able to fight this again. She has hope. We have so much hope.
Chris is a fighter. And although she will drop anything to help a friend, Chris is also not one to ask for help. I think many of us know this from personal experience. She is a mother to Bodhi. She just moved. She is going to be out of work for some time. She has her hands full. Her medical bills are mounting, and there will be many more to come. We are asking her giant support system if we can rally and raise some money to help. Even a $5 donation will go a long way, if we all do this together. We have a saying in a club that most of us all belong to, that many hands make light work. So let’s lend a hand and see if together we can make an impact for Chris.
