Fundraiser for Char Bar 7 - McKee Rd Employees

As everyone knows by now, the safety measures being put in place to help protect against the spread of Covid-19, while very necessary, are putting an enormous financial strain on members of the service industry. Thankfully, there are many people coming together to find ways to help, and this is the best way I can find right now to do what's possible for the staff of CB7 McKee. There are 40 hourly staff members whose income suddenly and completely stopped this past Tuesday morning. They never got to work that one last shift, or get those last few hours in before they were told that the restaurant would be closing down for an unknown amount of time due to government mandate. Many guests have been reaching out to staff members and checking in on them, which is very thoughtful and appreciated. I would like to share more than just positive thoughts with the staff during this time, and I'm hoping you will all join me in this. I know money is tight for a lot of people right now, but every dollar you can spare will help in a time like this. I'll be using the same goal as Melissa set up for the Carmel location, which is to get $200 per staff member to help get them through. Some will be able to receive assistance from unemployment but maybe not all, and even for those who do there will still be a waiting period before it starts coming in. Meanwhile, there are bills and rent that still have to be paid.
