Fundraiser for Cesar's Roof

Donation protected
My name is Alan and I'm writing to you because my best friend Cesar is in need of financial support to repair his roof on his mobile home. He does not have all of the funds to get it done right away, but he needs to so because of the leaks. Between the water damage spreading each time it rains and creating an environment for mold growth, anyone would want something like this to get dealt with immediately.
Let me introduce you to Cesar- He is a 34 year old teaching assistant at Seagull Alternative High School and he lives in Davie, Fl with his mother Josie, whom he financially supports. Growing up, so many obstacles were presented to Cesar, starting from birth when he was born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, also known as Brittle Bone Disease. Basically, his bones are very fragile (he’s had hundreds of breaks/fractures/sprains throughout his life), which in turn makes him unable to bare weight on his legs so he uses an electrical wheelchair to get around. Not only that, but because he is a little person with a weaker immune system, it takes a lot more for his body to fight off illnesses so all of 2020 has been rough on him. Thankfully, he’s been able to work from home this school year, but will most likely need to resubmit his work-from-home request to get approval to do so next school year after summer break. Regardless of all these obstacles he’s had to overcome in his life, he never backs down; he keeps going until he succeeds and that’s what I’m going to be with fixing his roof. I have known this man my entire life and even though he's not blood, he is my family. He is not only my brother, but the person who introduced me to my wife and he's the godfather of my two children. He is a jack of all trades between working as a teachers assistant at an alternative high school, coaching high school and peewee football, creating a sports program which included a sled hockey league for handicapped individuals, public speaking at schools on confidence, and running a sports newscast. If you notice, all of those things have something in common; he is always helping people. Whether it's updating sports fans on their favorite teams or making someone's dreams come true by allowing them to participate in sports in a way they've never envisioned, he is always helping others.
For me, I know all about that on a personal level. Like I said, I've known this man my entire life. He has always been there for me whenever I've gotten myself into situations where I thought I'd be stuck and sometimes he even refuses to let me return the favor or pay him back because he's got such a kind heart.
Right now, Cesar is in need of financial support to repair his roof and I am trying to help him out the best I can (just as I know he would for me), but we are at a stand-still. I've gotten the roof inspected, found out what exactly he needs done, I'm in the middle of trying to secure help from some volunteers, and the main thing now is getting the materials. I truly wish I was in the position to help him out financially, but unfortunately I am not. This is where this GoFundMe account comes into play though. I'm asking you for help with coming up with the funds to get his roof fixed. I know he has touched the lives of many people in many ways and if that's you, or if you're just a person feeling generous today, I'd like to ask for any donations that you're able to give, big or small. We are also accepting donated supplies and help in any way.
Thank you so much for your donation and for sharing this fundraiser.
