Fundraiser for Cassandra & Family

As many of you know, I like to celebrate my birthday as a whole birth month (#Natvember). This year I am asking for you to please donate to this very special person in my life.

My friend Cassandra Johnston experienced the joy of becoming a first-time mother this past spring. That joy was immense but short-lived, as what followed just a few weeks later was a diagnosis of Glioblastoma - an aggressive and incurable form of brain cancer. Within days of being diagnosed she had brain surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible and, while successful, it couldn't be completely removed.

Throughout the last few months Cassandra has been going through a rigorous chemo & radiation plan - all whilst raising her newborn son and her stepdaughter with her husband Nolan. Cass was recently accepted into a clinical trial in Buffalo where she will receive a vaccine every two weeks in hopes of slowing down the progression of the tumor. The trial, along with all the MRIs and travel that come with it, have been a necessary but unplanned expense on Cassandra & her family. As a friend, I want to raise money to help with Cassandra's ongoing treatment and also provide some financial support during this difficult time. That's where you come in!
