Fundraiser for Carl and Melissa Stone

The friends and colleagues of Carl and Melissa Stone have created this Go Fund Me page to help them restart their lives after they lost their entire home in a fire. Carl is an extraordinary person with many distinguished careers, starting with his enlistment into US Navy as a Seaman who retired with the rank of Commander. When his active duty service came to an end, he became a well-respected sales manager who actively takes care of his sales team. He and his wife Melissa recently settled down in their dream home in Howardsville, Virginia, located on the banks of the James River. They settled here after Melissa retired from her career working at a healthcare organization.

On Tuesday November 28th, as Carl was heading out for a tradeshow, a fire that started at his home and quickly escalated. Melissa called to Carl to help put out the fire but it spread too fast. Melissa grabbed one of their two spaniels, while the other was in the house cowering under the bed. By the time Carl secured the dog, the house was filled with smoke, leaving Carl little option other than to crawl out.

They are all safe now, however, the fire claimed everything they owned, all their essentials and memories of a lifetime together. We are very grateful for their safety and would like to help them get back on their feet.
