One month ago, Barbara was diagnosed with Stage 2 Endometrial cancer. This involves ongoing support with both chemo and radiation. This week, Barbara has begun her treatment at Swedish Hospital, where she will get the best care possible. But the family needs our help. Not just with support and love, but also with financial obligations that are arising.

The driving (1.5 hr. drive both ways), monitoring of Barbara’s health, and maintenance of the functioning of the household now lies on her daughter. This attention warrants ongoing care which makes outside employment difficult. The awareness around COVID-19 safety requires that the bubble of support rely on her immediate family- outside support cannot be brought in.

The chemo treatments will last for six months. We want to support the family through this time.  Any contribution you can make will help to offset out of pocket medical expenses not covered by insurance, supplemental living expenses, and the unavoidable loss of work.

We want to take the financial burden off of the family so they can focus on healing.
