Fundraiser for Bryce Weaver
Donation protected
Dear Friends & Family,
Bryce was admitted to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital on August 4, 2019 after experiencing symptoms of slurred speech, loss of balance, cognitive issues and injury after a fall. On August 5, 2019, Bryce was medevaced to Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage to have biopsies done on lesions that were discovered on his brain while at FMH. On August 12, 2019 we received the news that Bryce has approximately 30 lesions on his brain and was ultimately diagnosed with severe MS. Blood transfusions were done over multiple days to stabilize him and after several weeks he was released to return home but with conditions. He has recently re-gained the ability to drive but work is restricted. His case is complicated by the fact that the progression was swift and sudden where normally this is a slow progressing disease so he is a unique case. To compound this, his career of a being a heavy equipment operator is uncertain which is his main source of income to provide for his family. Needless to say, the expenses from the hospital stay and transport to Anchorage will be astronomical along with the future care he must now receive. As many of you know, Bryce is an avid outdoorsman with an adventurous spirit so this news has certainly been devastating for him. At this time, I am humbly asking for any donation no matter how small to help Bryce get back on his feet and cover these medical expenses. If Bryce has touched your life any way, I hope you can find it in your heart to help him in his time of need. Words of encouragement and well wishes are appreciated also.
