Fundraiser for Bruce

Last Friday, my father, Bruce, had an operation to remove a node from his lung.  After a biopsy, the node was deemed cancerous and was removed.  While the doctor is confident that all malignant tissue was removed, there were some enlarged lymph nodes present.  They were removed for further testing and chemotherapy will be most likely.  We are lucky and grateful that the surgery went well, however, recovery is still 6 to 8 weeks.  As many of you know, my Dad works with me doing remodeling and construction and will not be working during that time, or during the chemotherapy after.  While he has saved as much as he could before his operation, there will be costs from the operation and regular bills don't go away during difficult times.  We may be lucky enough for him to receive treatment in Atlanta, where my uncle currently goes, where he would be out of the snow and cold and with loved ones better equipped to help while he fights through the chemo.  Anything to help during this time would be greatly appreciated, I would love to be able to take the stress of monthly bills and rent off of him so he can focus on healing and getting back.  I don't have much to offer in return, but I can promise you, once we get through this, we will celebrate with lots and lots of food, and our whole family are excellent cooks.  Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you everyone that has reached out and sent well wishes.  I can't tell you how much it means to all of us.
