The Disability Justice Network is coming together to raise funds for a disabled Blakfulla in our community.
This community member has been experiencing a critical period of illness and medical complications over the past few months, requiring hospitalisations and corrective procedures resulting in a number of medical bills and costs, which they are unable to pay.
They have been unable to work during this period, having no income at present, they are struggling to front costs needed for their care. They are in a position of financial precarity, and require mutual aid to get back on their feet.
Donating will mean they can pay off these bills, and take care of themselves without financial strain as they take time off of work to recover. The loss of income, and the building medical bills and costs are causing significant stress and strain. Donating will provide them the breathing space to heal without fear of losing access to the medical care they need to survive.
Mutual aid is built on community care and disabled love, it is how we survive as disabled people in a world built against us. When the healthcare system and the state continue to fail us, our community steps in! Please dig deep, donate to and share this fund so our community member can get the care they need.
Please note: the money raised in this fund are being transferred to Disability Justice Member Tori Hobbs who is transferring them onto this community member as to maintain their anonymity.
