Fundraiser for Benny Gentile
Donation protected
This week, family and friends were stunned to learn that sweet Benny has been diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia). Benny is the son of my cousin Jason Gentile and Angela Gentile. He is 10 years old and the second of their three children (Stefania-12, and Rocco- 8).
AML is a cancer of the bone marrow; although they have been told that he is low risk for relapse, AML is an aggressive form of leukemia and he has five cycles of 28-day treatment ahead of him. The first one must be spent in the hospital the entire time. You can only imagine the added strain that the pandemic puts on this situation.
Benny loves soccer, science, math, video games and his friends that he cannot wait to see. He is the happiest, most positive and kind little boy and a lot of people have asked how they can help. As you may know, a meal train has been put in place but all of this is incredibly expensive and not all of his medical care is covered by insurance.
Benny is remaining positive and optimistic and we know that he will kick cancer's butt! If you don't have the means to donate, please say a prayer for him as we truly believe in the power of prayer.
