This past Labor Day weekend, our friend Beau was severely injured during a roll-over incident at St. Anthony Sand Dunes. The fortunate outcome was that Beau is still with us, however he critically injured his back, shattering several of his lumbar vertebrae, and leaving him with little to no feeling/function in his lower extremities, and has damage shoulder and sternum . Surgery to repair his vertebrae although largely successful, was not able to fully repair the damage done to his spinal cord and subsequent nerves.
Amazingly Beau has had some feeling and movement returning to his lower extremities, he will be in a wheel chair for a while (if not the rest of his life) and will require prolonged rehabilitation to enhance feeling/function and in the event that he does improve, he still will ultimately need expensive assist devices to help him to walk again. He will also need more surgeries and rehab to repair the damage to his shoulder and his chest bone.
Please help us to help Beau with overwhelming the medical costs and what will most assuredly be a long and arduous road to rehab and recovery.
Beau is amazing, his spirits are high, he is hopeful and determined in his efforts, and your support will help immensely in relieving the financial stressors of recovery and allow him to focus his full attention to walking again!
