As the Crows Fly is a new chamber opera written and directed by early-career creatives Ben Hoppe and Edie Bailey which will premiere at the Tête-à-Tête Opera Festival in October 2025. Created by and for queer, Trans and non-binary artists, this darkly humorous, folk-inspired project explores gender fluidity within nature, war, and mythology and urgently addresses the lack of gender diversity in opera.

We are so lucky to have been funded by Arts Council England and the Hinrichsen Foundation to make the project possible - we are now just looking for the last push to make the project absolutely amazing. With this money we will be able to expand the instrumental ensemble and Ben and Edie will be able to pay themselves!!
