Fundraiser For Apprentice Mechanic and Fiancé

Hi, my name is Reece and I’m sitting here writing this from the comfort of my own home with power, running water, dry clothes and all my possessions.

The same can’t be said for a good mate of mine Nick, who was clinging to the roof of his house in the early hours of Monday morning.

With a flood warning issued for Lismore NSW Nick removed his beloved Supra to higher grounds at the workshop he’s employed at and returned home to wait out the flood is his 2 story House only approved 5 months ago with his lovely fiancé Sam. Why return home? Well these types of houses are built on stilts and are designed to deal with a couple of metres of flood water which is not uncommon for the area. Unfortunately, they experienced the highest flood level in recorded history and water quickly engulfed the house and all their possessions, Leaving them with no option but to climb up onto their roof while waiting for rescue in the poring rain like hundreds of others. Many in the Lismore Community do not have flood insurance as the insurance agencies do not cover it or it’s priced out of existence!

Ive put this fundraiser together to help fellow members of the car community and a lovely young couple get back on their feet!

I’m not asking for much but any little bit you can spare will help this apprentice mechanic and his lovely fiancé be able to afford basic living items like clothes, bedding and furniture.

I can’t imagine what it’d be like to lose everything and am saddened by the thousands left in his position.

I will be putting my business on hold and driving down to Lismore to help the community anyway I can as soon as the access roads to the town are open again.
