Hooray! It’s that time of the year again for AfterMAF! In fact, it’s just a couple of weeks away, June 28th and 29th. AfterMAF is a two day arts festival with artists and performers from around the region, across the country, and beyond. It is totally FREE, totally DIY, and unfunded by any entities outside the community. As we are often reminded, freedom is not free. Therefore, we’ve set up this fundraiser to help us with expenses for the festival, and to support the year round contribution of Art Rat Studios’ ongoing mission to be a home for artists who create to the beat of an uncommon drum machine. We have set a goal of $2637* to help us finance our programing. Please give whatever you can to support Roanoke’s alternative arts venue in providing a memorable festival, and fund the continuing series of events throughout the year. Thanks to your generosity, we can promote a spirit of community, cooperation, collaboration, and fearless experimental arts exploration. Art Rat Studios provides opportunities for noteworthy and under appreciated experimental artists who aren’t recognized by any other venue in town. Since we began our programing we have hosted events for over 200 different artists/performers/groups. AfterMAF is the yearly celebration of our dedication to produce eclectic arts programing.
