Want to join me in making a difference?

 Hi, my name is Yaz.

I’m raising funds for the Epilepsy Society, and every donation—no matter how small—will help make a meaningful impact. To support this cause, I will be running 5 miles at Silk Mill Park, near Derby Cathedral, on Sunday 28th June 2026 in memory of my best friend, Maddie, who tragically passed away on 3rd April 2025 due to epilepsy.

Maddie was a truly kind and beautiful soul with a bright future ahead of her, which was sadly cut far too short.

Although Maddie is no longer here, I know she would have wanted me to raise awareness on her behalf and help others going through similar struggles she went through.

Losing someone so close has been incredibly difficult. Maddie was one of the most important people in my life, and this is the first time I have experienced such a profound loss. While nothing can bring her back, I am determined to honour her memory by raising awareness and supporting others affected by epilepsy.

Epilepsy impacts countless individuals and families, and the challenges they face every day are unimaginable. By supporting organisations like the Epilepsy Society, we can help fund vital research, improve medical services, and work towards better treatments—and ultimately, a cure.

This effort is for Maddie, and for anyone affected by epilepsy.

If you’re not able to donate, please consider supporting me by sharing my GoFundMe link and my TikTok pages—it would mean just as much
