Fundraiser for 22Q deletion syndrome patient meeting

Hi, my name is Ken and I am raising funds to support a meeting for patients and families who live with 22Q deletion syndrome.

The 22Q Europe organisation wishes to bring young people and their carers together for a 2 day meeting to discuss new research and development on how to manage 22 Q deletion syndrome. This organisation receives little to no external funding and is entirely reliant on charitable donations to continue its works. Without your donation we will find it very difficult to hold the patient meeting.

Even though people with 22Q are diagnosed with the same genetic condition, there is a lot of variation amongst individuals who have it.

This means that people with 22Q can experience a small or wide range of features and can experience them at different severities compared to others with 22Q.

Family meetings are a critical support for the whole 22Q community as there is little interest from the pharmaceutical industry in this neglected condition and very little investment in research to improve the lives of children and adults living with this destructive condition.

All of the funds raised will go to the European 22q Patient Association, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to bring awareness to the 22q11 deletion syndrome by promoting international scientific research and support those affected and families. 22Q Europe who will organise and host the patient meeting in 2025 - www.22q11europe.org
