The Heart of Our Family: It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Nomthandazo Nkomazana. As the youngest of her siblings, Nomthandazo was more than just the "baby" of the family; she was a devoted mother (leaving behind two children), a cherished sister, a vibrant aunt, and a pillar of light to everyone who knew her. Her departure from this life while in Bangladesh has left a void that can never be filled.

A Season of Great Loss: This tragedy comes at an incredibly difficult time for us. Only four months ago, we laid to rest the matriarch of our family—our beloved grandmother. To lose Nomthandazo so suddenly and so soon after is a grief that is hard to put into words. Our family is reeling from these consecutive losses, but we are determined to honor her memory and bring her back to her roots.

Our Appeal: Bringing Her Home In accordance with our Zimbabwean cultural customs, it is our deepest wish to bring Nomthandazo back home so she can be laid to rest among her kin. The logistical challenge of repatriating her remains from Bangladesh to Zimbabwe is significant, both in complexity and cost.

We are appealing to friends, family, and well-wishers to help us raise the equivalent of USD 10,000 to cover the repatriation costs from Bangladesh to Zimbabwe. We have set the goal to AUD $14,300 to account for the current exchange rate. These funds will go directly toward:

• Repatriation and transportation from Bangladesh to Zimbabwe.
• Funeral and burial arrangements in Zimbabwe.
• Logistical support for the family during this time of mourning.

How You Can Help: Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to giving Nomthandazo the dignified and traditional farewell she deserves. If you are unable to donate, we humbly ask that you share this link with your network and keep our family in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate this dark chapter.

Thank you for your kindness, your empathy, and your support in helping us bring our beloved daughter, sister and aunt home.

With gratitude, The Nkomazana Family
