Fundraise to Play Lacrosse in Australia

Hi Everyone! For those who do not know me very well, my name is Caitlin Potts. This summer I'm raising funds to go on a trip of a lifetime to play lacrosse in Australia!

I'm a junior at Hampshire Regional High School in Westhampton, Massachusetts, and was nominated by my lacrosse coach (thank you Grace!) for this opportunity. I've been playing on the varsity lacrosse team since the 7th grade, when I picked up a lax stick for the very first time, and have worked extremely hard to build my skills and learn as much as I can both on and off the field.

This trip to Australia will not only provide me with a chance to build on my lacrosse and leadership skills, but I'll also have the opportunity to train with U.S. college coaches and train and play with local club teams. Additionally, I'll be doing community service work with the group and have a chance to explore the cities of Melbourne and Sydney. As I hope to play in college, this trip would help connect me to college coaches and allow them to see how truly dedicated I am to the sport of lacrosse. I've also never had the opportunity to travel and this is truly a dream trip!

A little bit about me:

I'm an honors student (as well as on the Academic Society) and a teaching assistant in 8th-grade math. I also participate in numerous school clubs and extracurriculars including Our school Yearbook and Social Justice Club. I play varsity lacrosse and field hockey, and in my free time, I work at Dick's Sporting Goods.
