Fundraise for an ocean rowing boat.

My name is James Overton and in December 2026 I will be attempting to break the current record for the fastest solo crossing of the Atlantic Ocean when I take part in the annual “worlds’ toughest row”.

The current record is 30 days and 7 hours.

My intention is to take a day off the record and be the first person to row the 3000mile race in 29 days.

In order to row the Atlantic, I will need to have an ocean rowing boat and I’m looking for help in fundraising to get a “Rannoch Adventure” R25 ocean boat built.

In 2020 we lost my beloved brother in law to Motor Neurone Disease and I will be using the Atlantic record attempt to help find a cure for this terrible condition by raising funds for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.

I represent both Looe and Newquay in Cornish Gig Rowing and have been part of the rowing community for eight years.
