I have been accepted as a second-year student to attend the ACLU Summer Advocacy Institute. This week-long program teaches young advocates like me how to build effective campaigns. I will spend my time learning from seasoned lawyers and community activists that are currently working for the American Civil Liberties Union.
Attending the ACLU Summer Advocacy Institute for a second year will further my exploration into my biracial identities and help me to hone my communication skills that will deepen my dynamic leadership abilities. This experience will allow my self-confidence to grow and I will learn how to effectively implement positive change in my community.
Additionally, being chosen as a second-year student from a large pool of applicants is a great honor. As a second-year student, I will have more responsibilities in providing mentorship for others becoming strong advocates like myself.
To cover the cost of room and board, transportation, and tuition needed to participate in the institute, I need to raise at least $1,920.00 by July 15th, 2019.
I am asking for your help as the financial cost of the program is currently preventing me from attending this amazing institute. I would be incredibly grateful for your support and donation to my cause. Any amount that you are able to donate will help me tremendously.
If you can, please feel free to share my Go Fund Me with your friends and family!
