I am in the process of raising money in order to be able to attend the New York Times Summer Academy (link is here ). The summer program is a huge opportunity, but I, unfortunately, don't have the money to attend just yet. Below is the exact breakdown of how the money donated will be utilized.
Breakdown of Funds
flat rate for program: $5,750
course material fee: $195
plane ticket: $382
safety net funds*: $200
-$500 (financial aid)

I need help to raise the funds to go! Anything you can give means so so much to me--I am grateful for anything that you are able to donate :)
*This portion is so that I have a fallback fund in the event that anything goes wrong, such as prices heightening for plane tickets more quickly than anticipated, ect, ect.
