Myla's Fundraiser

Hi my name is Myla Hayes. Last year I was diagnosed with a Autoimmune disease called Sjogren's Syndrome. This condition is rare in adults and is almost unheard of with children. This is a chronic autoimmune disease, which means that my immune system attacks not only things like the flu and other virus' but it attacks healthy tissue in my body. Also  moisture producing glands are attacked, making me unable to produce tears and saliva. The condition causes chronic fatigue, RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis), swollen joints and many other symptoms.  This condition is not curable and is different for everyone who has it. If you donate to my fund you will be helping me go to the National Sjogrens Conference on April 17 and 18. The conference is in Tampa, Florida. I have not met any other children with this condition so, going to the this conference might mean finding someone else my age and the opportunity to learn more about my condition.
