Hi, my name for those who don't know me is Tasha, but my most favorite people in the world call me MOM...
And one of those people is why I am doing this fundraiser .
So to start off let me tell you that I have 3 of the KINDEST, LOVING, & PERFECTLY IMPERFECT kids. My oldest two are twins, Brandon & Braydon, they have not had the most perfect life or easiest, they have seen struggle with out defeat a lot in their 21 years, and I am beyond proud of how they have not let those times harden them and change the wonderful humans they are today.
my youngest is a 10 year old girl, Raelyn, who's huge heart and never ending kindness and empathy has made me more amazed that someone so young can be such a big individual.
She is the reason I started this fundraiser and desperately hope that it can be successful. ...
On Thursday Sept 11, we went to the eye doctor for our routine yearly eye exam and to pick out new glasses, no big deal we do this every year.
When she first started with her eye exams several years ago we were told she has one near-sighted eye and one far-sighted.. not a very common thing but nothing alarming. As i sit and wait for her to return to the lobby and us sign out I chat with a lady and then raelyn appears from the back and says the doctor wants to talk to me in back, a little out of the usual she usually hand me her papers at the door and informs me of any changes, etc.,etc....
When I crossed the thresh hold i noticed and felt Raelyn's anxiety just fill the air. I stopped breathing for the moment to hear what the doctor was about to say, " Mom she has a new prescription for new glasses and we dilated her eyes, and we saw some swelling in her optic nerves and some fluid just behind the eyes.. We are recommending that you have a MRI to make sure there isn't a mass........"
That was it I barely remember leaving and driving home that day. We stopped for her to get a treat for doing well and following all the directions and being good at the doctor and then continued home.
I immediately got online and requested next day visit with our pediatrician.
We have a referral in the works but not an exact date, but it will be fairly quick being as this is a test to see if my mini me has a intracranial mass or not ... as i type it i am in disbelief does my baby have a tumor or not that is one of the hardest sentences I have ever written before in my life.
Our appointment for seeing the Pediatric neurologist that will be in charge of the MRI is at the Pensacola Children's Hospital which is several hours away from where we live and I honestly cant afford the expensive cost for the gas there and back and eating while we are there and it is possible we have to stay the night, which I absolutely can not afford.
I am pleading to anyone that has the capability and has the heart to help me get my little girl to the medical professionals that will be able to tell this scared Mom what the next page holds for our family.
I have so many wonderful people in our lives praying and lifting us up to the Lord on a daily basis and am grateful for each and everyone. I just hope that some of those prayers have been passed on to your hearts and ears from HIM to be a blessing in our lives so when we need it so very much.

FUNDS WILL GO TOWARDS: transportation, gas, food for the trip and meal when we arrive/before leaving, hotel stay, and will absolutely let her spend a small portion on something special for being so brave. hopefully weather permitting we will take a pit stop sometime during the visit to find a sandy beach and rejuvenate our spirits and let the waves take some of our stress, worry, and tears out to sea.
