Funding Treys Final Farewell

On Thursday, May 23, 2024, Car’Tracus “Trey” Mitchell went to be with the Lord after an unfortunate fishing accident. After three days of praying, searching, and waiting Trey was located. Now that Trey is home and the toiling is over, we would like to send him off as fashionably possible.

Trey recently graduated from Rapides High School in May of 2022 where he was a basketball standout. During his tenure, he received more than 20 Player of the Game honors, 1st Team All District (2021), and All State Honorable Mention (2021). He was also honored as the 2021-2022 Player of the Year for his senior season.

Though Trey was a recent grad, he aspired to be nothing shy of a good man and a great father. To know Trey was to truly love him. His smile would light up any room. His heart could warm the coolest of places. His laugh could brighten the gloomiest of days, and his love for people was ever so contagious. His physical presence will truly be missed,however, the life he led and the legacy he left will forever be a reflection of the great man he was.

All proceeds will be used to support the family with anything they may need for the home-going service. Any remaining proceeds will be placed into a trust for his son’s post secondary education endeavors.
