Funding to assist in paralyzed daughter treatment

Donation protected
On Saturday, July 29, 2023, our 11-year-old daughter Sophia was riding in the back seat when the car she was in was struck and rolled. The impact severed her spinal cord at the C2 level, leaving her paralyzed from the neck down. In the critical hours that followed she suffered multiple episodes of cardiac arrest but—thanks to extraordinary emergency care—she pulled through. Sophia is now living with a tracheostomy, ventilator, and pacemaker, and she faces a long-term rehabilitation journey.

Sophia has already exceeded her physicians’ expectations in the first 24 hours after injury, and we are confident she will continue to surprise us. Her recovery, however, will require specialized equipment, intensive therapy, and an accessible vehicle to transport her safely to medical appointments and school.

This GoFundMe campaign will be used exclusively to improve Sophia’s quality of life and support her rehabilitation, including:

Custom mobility and communication devices

Home modifications for accessibility

An adaptive van for safe transportation

Ongoing physical, occupational, and respiratory therapy

As her parents, we are unwavering in our commitment to give Sophia the fullest and most meaningful life possible. Your generosity—whether through a donation or by sharing this page—brings us closer to that goal and reminds our family that we are not walking this path alone.

Thank you for standing with Sophia.
