Funding Staci Brady's Gerson Therapy Treatment

Donation protected
It is hard to know how to sum-up the life journey of Cancer as seen through the eyes of a friend. Unfortunately, when is strikes a mother, it is a challenge to the whole family. Somehow through the grace of God; the family has to find a new normal.  Staci, and her husband Chad, along with their young children Jaidyn(11) and Jonathan(10) Brady know all too well the challenges that come to a family who experiences Cancer. On behalf of the Buffalo Community of Friends, it is our honor to share the story of Staci Brady and ask for financial help during this very difficult time in the Brady Family’s life.

In 2016, Staci was first diagnosed with Stage 3a Rectal Cancer, she received chemo and radiation for this type of cancer.  The treatment course appeared to work initially, but after having some pain in the fall of 2017 Staci returned to the doctor.  After many scans and tests it was confirmed that she had lesions in her Liver, Lungs and Bones. By June of 2018 this cancer had progressively spread to these areas of the body, and the traditional treatment chemo and radiation was no longer physically tolerable for Staci. During this time Stacy started to do a form of dietary changes and began following the juicing component of the Gerson Therapy Cancer Regime.  During this treatment course she was revived, began to feel better and have more energy during this treatment course. During this new treatment course, the Brady family moved from their current community of Buffalo, MN to Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin to be near to Chad’s family who could better help with the day-to-day activities for the family. In October of 2018, as Staci continued to doctor with her oncologist, she learned that the cancer was now invading the surrounding muscles and soft tissue of her bones. This past Christmas, the pain was intolerable for Staci so she returned to the hospital for treatment, only to find that the cancer continues to spread in the areas of her ribs and sternum.  She is currently working with hospice and her oncologist to provide her as much pain control as possible.

The current state of Staci’s health unfortunately is not good.  The pain is getting worse and it is hard for her to even be out of bed for short periods of time as she just can’t find a comfortable place to sit.  Laying down propped with pillows is the best place she can find some relief. At this time the only therapy option for is to consider a strict form of the Gerson Therapy model.

In short, the Gerson Therapy is an alternative treatment for advanced cancers like Staci’s. This established practice model has proven successful in treating and curing advanced stages of cancer for 80+ years ago in Mexico. Many patients who follow this regimen with discipline, are cured of their cancer. At this stage of Staci’s cancer it appears to be the only therapy that could help her and not hurt her.

In short this therapy is an intensive regimented therapy that uses juicing and a multitude of supplements as a detoxification regimen to help rid the body of toxins and disease. The majority of patient’s fly to Mexico for this regimented treatment, which costs patients nearly $6,000.00 a week for treatment.  However at this time Staci is unable to make the journey for treatment to Mexico. As a community of friends we would like to facilitate in bringing this treatment to her in effort to allow for more time and memories, and ultimately to get her feeling better so she can enjoy quality time with her young family.

This therapy requires many expensive supplements, and several pounds of organic food that will be juiced daily, with a sophisticated medical grade type of juicer that most effective at sparing key enzymes and nutrients.   Unfortunately, the costs of the treatment are not something reimbursable by insurance companies so this therapy would mean an immediate financial burden on the family, in an effort to try and give Staci one last chance at life.

So many people continue to ask what they can do to help the Brady family?  It is very difficult for Chad and Staci to ask for help, as they are very strong, faithful and determined people.  They want to kick this cancer so bad on their own, but it has become apparent that they can’t try this last step without our help.  The need is immediate, and I ask you all to look at what is possible to help us reach this goal so the initial treatment can be started by next week.  I ask us as a community, and the village of supporters who surround her, what can you/we live without this week or month so we can help donate? What can we budget to help this family make a last ditch attempt of living with cancer?  Unfortunately, this appears to be the last stop in the course of treatment, and time is of the essence to get this therapy going.

In closing I will leave you with this poem that I would like to dedicate to Staci, as she has been the light for so many people, her family and her community.  May we all in some way continue to hold the light for her close to our hearts.
