We met our funeral goal!! Thank you all so much any extra funds will help greatly towards other expenses such as overdue housing bills Shannon (Stahara) Thomas was the most selfless person on this planet . My name is Kylie Thomas, and my mother passed away very unexpectedly on August 11 after battling with flesh-eating bacteria for years and my father’s (Mark “Animal” Thomas) death in October of last year. Shannon was the most helpful, caring, loving person I have ever met. My mum would always put others above herself, and she did so until the very end. From years at the New Music Station on YSU campus to working in the local music scene to always participating in every activity I took part in (marching band, Sunday school, cheerleading, Girl Scouts, etc.), she touched everyone she met with her kind smile and words.

Shannon unfortunately did not have any life insurance. She also had no income since my father’s passing in 2024, and therefore we have no funds for her funeral. I want to be able to give her the send-off she deserves and be able to honor her without the anxiety of the costs. We got the price down as much as we could, but there is still plenty of money needed to make this happen.

Shannon’s services will take place Wednesday, August 20th from 4-6pm at David Becker Funeral Home in Struthers, Ohio. I am hoping to reach our goal by that day so we can deliver the funds and have the services go on! Thank you all for all of your support at this time.
