My great friend Sam was diagnosed with stage IV bowel cancer in April 2024, which had spread to his liver and lymph nodes. Sam is currently 26 rounds into Chemotherapy and fighting like an absolute champion.

He has shown me over the past 18 months just how amazing he is. He has been a beacon of positivity, through an unimaginable time for both him and his family, and continued to be one of the best humans I know. I will be completing some challenges - starting with 50km Trail run from where we met in Eastbourne to Hove, which as a physical test falls far short of the strength Sam continues to show but I hope provides a small step for me to climb on to make some noise to help him on his journey. Sam has a Go Fund me page which will be the beneficiary of this fundraising to help support him pay for his medication to continue fighting his cancer.
