Funding Patrick's Bee Garden Memorial
Donation protected
Hi , my name is Mike. In 2020 my son Patrick succumbed to Burkitts Lymphoma. It's been an emotional roller coaster for my family to cope with this devastating loss. We live on the East End Historic District of Charleston WV. There was a recent fire next door to us which totally destroyed the house next door and damaged our house . I took out my retirement to purchase the burnt out house, lot and to demolish the unsalvageable house. Since that time I have, with the permission of the historical society began a project to build a garden and memorial area in honor of Patrick. I have high expectations for "Patrick's Bee Garden" however I'm not a wealthy person and I am unable to bankroll this project without help. I have begun steps in writing a grant for preservation of the project but have not been successful in procuring any amount of assistance. I need to purchase sand, base gravel and many other landscaping and garden items to begin my project. When I complete my project I want to have an official dedication and celebration in honor of Patrick that will serve as memorial to my son. I don't like to ask for help or assistance in any endeavor of my life but I really want this to be a special project that will extend my legacy and allow my sons memory to live on hopefully forever. I will be doing all of the manual labor myself with the help of volunteers and this is a very hefty job. Any assistance would be appreciated.
