Hiya! My name is Tyler Kaczmarek (he/they), I am a 19 year old (20 in 3 weeks) university student studying and living in Ireland, currently in my 2nd year!✨ I've also participated in archery for the last 3 years and compete competitively (fun fact). I'm passionate about tattoo artistry and coaching archery as well and hope to continue these as a career post college life✨

I came out as a transgender man when I was 12 years old, but I knew a couple years before who I truly was but there was a lot of denial in the process as I come from a very Catholic family. It took me immense courage and I was always lucky to be surrounded by my friends who felt like my true family and supported me every step of the way. I started binding when I was 16 with binders and trans tape, and the first time I did it I just started crying, not from sadness but from genuine relief. Seeing how much joy I receive from stepping closer to expressing who I am was healing.

Self expression and confidence were always something I struggled with, especially when people were nasty about it both in person and online. This was especially hard due to my social anxiety and often kept to myself in fear of judgment from others. As I entered college, this anxiety lifted and I allowed myself to express myself more than I ever have, and it's severely boosted my confidence.

I know the next step in my journey is to start taking hormone therapy (testosterone) to continue becoming who I really am, which would genuinely be a dream come true for me and lift so many worries. I have never been the best at seeking help from others as I usually feel guilty after, but I know this needed to change if I am to take this next big step which is hugely important for me.

The funds I am asking for will go into the private appointment costs, the blood tests to accompany those and the funding for a years supply of T doses. Partial funds will also go towards binding supplies such as trans tape.
