Jodie is a devoted mum to two beautiful young children. She is kind, loving, and the sort of person who always puts everyone else first. A few years ago, Jodie faced the unimaginable when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She fought with courage and strength, and she won. Cancer was behind her, and life slowly began to feel hopeful again.
I met Jodie not just as a friend, but as one of my students. She came to train in beauty with one clear goal in mind — to build a better life for her two young children. From the very beginning, Jodie stood out. She was determined, hardworking, and hopeful. She showed up, she pushed herself, and she believed in a future where she could give her children stability, security, and happiness.
Just before Christmas this year, that sense of safety was shattered. Jodie was told that her cancer has returned. Another tumour. Another battle she never asked for.
Now, Jodie is facing months of chemotherapy once again, along with the heartbreaking reality of having to undergo a mastectomy. Alongside the physical pain and exhaustion, she is also carrying the emotional weight of trying to stay strong for her children — comforting them, reassuring them, and doing everything she can to keep life feeling as normal as possible while her own world feels upside down.
This fundraiser is about more than money. It’s about wrapping Jodie and her family in love and support during the hardest chapter of their lives.
We are hoping to raise funds to help Jodie with the things that cancer takes away — her confidence, her sense of self, her freedom. This includes helping her purchase a wig during treatment, and giving her family the chance to enjoy small moments of happiness together — days out, treats, and experiences that bring smiles, laughter, and memories at a time when joy feels hard to find.
No mum should have to face this twice. No family should have to carry this alone.
Every donation, no matter how small, will help lighten the load and remind Jodie that she is surrounded by people who care deeply about her and her children. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this page — that support means more than you may realise.
Thank you for reading Jodie’s story and for being part of her support system during this incredibly difficult time.
With love and gratitude
