Funding Jordyn's Dreams After Loss of Mother

Donation protected
On behalf of Kimmie's loving family, dear friends, and close community ties, I hope you can find a moment to assist Kimmie's beautiful daughter Jordyn after suddenly losing her mother to a personal medical event. Jordyn will rely on these funds in the days, weeks, months, and years to come, with unexpected expenses and assistance with long-term plans.

Kimberly Marie Zapico (Nelson) - Jan 30, 1975-Oct 31, 2022. With great sadness and heavy hearts, Kim, Kimmie, Kimbo, the second of four children to David Nelson and Deborah Nelson (Lewis) passed away on the morning of Oct 31st, 2022. She was a loving sister to Tracie (Bill) Eigemann, Heather (Jason) Templin, and Erik (Amy) Nelson, devoted aunt to Billy Eigemann, and the world's proudest mother to her only daughter Jordyn Nicole Zapico. Kim was born and raised in Dearborn, MI and she was a shining star that burnt so bright. Excelling in whatever she put her beautiful mind to, notably with her beloved Dearborn Raiders soccer team that helped pave the way for competitive soccer in the area as we know it! #13 on the field but always #1 in our hearts! Kimmie would brighten any room she entered and loved to laugh and reminisce about all the beautiful times created over the years with family and friends. She loved to cook and entertain and shared great joy in serving up some of her favorite recipes passed down from Grandma Marie Nelson (Trotter). She shared the last several years in a loving relationship with Bill Morris and their three beautiful dogs, where again she put her heart and soul into the relationship and as a doggie mom. In the end, nothing can hold a candle to her wonderful and only daughter, Jordyn, survived by her ex-husband and father, Jon Zapico. You couldn't have a conversation with Kim and not have her beam with pride and joy over the love she had for her daughter; it was so amazing to witness and feel. Jordyn, 19, an extremely beautiful, talented, smart young woman, will no doubt continue to lead a life that her mom would be proud of. Sister, daughter, niece, mother, dear friend, and an all-around amazing person will ALWAYS be remembered and NEVER forgotten! Kimberly truly was an Angel sent from above, gifted into ALL our lives in one form or another. Please find comfort and happiness in the memories you have with her; she would love that tremendously! Spread joy and love in the name and spirit of a one-of-a-kind, Kimberly M. Zapico.
