Hello, our names are Celeste and Oriana. We are raising funds for our 55-year-old mom, Marta, to help her in the process of fighting stage IV lung cancer. She has never smoked in her life and has been healthy up until her official diagnosis last month.

As her daughters, we are absolutely heartbroken and devastated. We are only a family of four, including Celeste's 9-year-old daughter Camila. The rest of our family does not live in this country, so we are all she has. We have always had a very close connection and now we have to face this disease without knowing what will become of the outcome. It's all just very scary for us. She's our everything and we couldn't possibly imagine that this would happen so soon. We love her so much as she has always been an amazing single mother, a grandmother, and a friend. This is unfair to have this happen to such a wonderful person but we are going to choose to continue battling against this heart-wrenching disease. We want to continue hearing her laugh and seeing her smile again.

We know that cancer is a very aggressive disease and that many families at some point have lost a family member to this disease in the middle of the process. We decided to do this fundraiser to receive economic support while she perseveres and fights against the suffering to heal. Marta is currently in intensive care because of low oxygen. She’s currently not able to survive without an oxygen machine and we have been in the hospital with her all this time to not only take care of her but her unexpected expenses, medical payments, household payments, etc. She's currently undergoing chemotherapy and targeted therapy.

Despite the agony we feel every day in waiting and praying for her recovery, we continue to trust in God who can perform a miracle for her and give her a chance to live. Our faith remains strong. Anything helps, as we truly appreciate anything that comes from your heart.

Please pray for us and our mother’s life... we don’t want to lose her. A mother's love is the heart of a family. Your kindness, prayers, and donations will give our mom the strength to face this challenge head-on. She still has hopes and dreams she wants to accomplish, and we want her to feel joy again. Hola, nuestros nombres son Celeste y Oriana. Estamos recolectando fondos para nuestra mamá de 55 años, Marta, para ayudarla en el proceso de lucha contra el cáncer de pulmón en estadio 4. Ella nunca ha fumado en su vida y ha estado sana hasta su diagnóstico oficial el mes pasado.

Como sus hijas, estamos absolutamente desconsoladas y devastadas. Sólo somos una familia de cuatro miembros, incluida Camila, la hija de 9 años de Celeste. El resto de nuestra familia no vive en este país, así que somos todo lo que ella tiene. Siempre hemos tenido una conexión muy profunda y ahora tenemos que enfrentarnos a esta enfermedad sin saber qué será del destino. Todo esto nos da mucho miedo. Ella es nuestro todo y no podíamos imaginar que esto pasaría tan pronto. La queremos mucho ya que siempre ha sido una madre soltera increíble, una abuela y una amiga. Es injusto que le ocurra esto a una persona tan admirable, pero vamos a optar por seguir luchando contra esta enfermedad dolorosa. Queremos seguir oyendo su risa y volver a verla sonreír.

Sabemos que el cáncer es una enfermedad muy agresiva y que muchas familias en algún momento han perdido a un familiar por esta enfermedad en mitad del proceso. Decidimos hacer esta campaña de recaudación de fondos para recibir apoyo económico mientras ella persevera y lucha contra el sufrimiento para curarse. Marta se encuentra actualmente en cuidados intensivos debido a la falta de oxígeno. Actualmente no puede sobrevivir sin una maquina de oxigeno y hemos estado en el hospital con ella todo este tiempo para no solo cuidar de ella sino de sus gastos inesperados, pagos medicos, pagos del hogar, etc. En estos momentos está recibiendo quimioterapia y terapia dirigida.

A pesar de la agonía que sentimos cada día al esperar y rezar por su recuperación, seguimos confiando en Dios, que puede hacer un milagro por ella y darle una oportunidad de vivir. Nuestra fe sigue siendo fuerte. Cualquier cosa ayuda, ya que sinceramente apreciamos cualquier cosa que venga de su corazón.

Por favor, recen por nosotros y por la vida de nuestra madre... no queremos perderla. El amor de una madre es el corazón de una familia. Su bondad, sus oraciones y sus donativos darán a nuestra madre la fuerza necesaria para afrontar este cambio.
